The Nomadic Notebook presentations are unique, inspirational experiences which seek to take the viewer away from his or her present reality and into the realm of nature
The full-length shows about 35-40 minutes and consist of projected sequences of images set to music and punctuated by original poetry written on location, as well as inspirational quotes. There is a brief introduction beforehand to “set the stage” and questions and discussion take place afterwards.
Currently there are six full-length shows:
Nomadic Notebook 1: based on a one year tour of the United States featuring the natural beauty of the Eastern and Southern states as well as Washington state.
Nomadic Notebook 2, Golden State, Backroads: a quest for natural beauty in the remote areas of California. Covers Lassen Volcanic Park, the Redwoods, the Lost Coast, Death Valley and many other areas.
Nomadic Notebook 3, Golden State, Backroads, continued: more remote areas of California, this time the Eastern Sierras, Bodie, Big Sur, Anza Borrego desert, among others.
Nomadic Notebook 4, Southwestern Sojourn: highlighting areas of Arizona, Utah, Eastern Nevada and Colorado and featuring Native American music and wisdom.
Nomadic Notebook 5, Pacific Northwest: Eastern and Central Oregon as well as the Olympic Peninsula area of Washington, includes the Sequim Lavender Festival, set to Celtic music.
Nomadic Notebook 6, Colorado Autumn: features the Nederland area, Rocky Mountain National Park, Ouray, Silverton, Mesa Verde and Grand Canyon, tons of fall color and autumn snow!
I also have numerous “short feature” presentations and videos.
The shows are best experienced in a dark room.
I provide all equipment for the show with the exception of a screen or blank wall.
I will work with you to ensure good attendance and will also send a sign advertising the show which can be copied, posted, etc.
