Trip Down Memory Lane

tank tops
(oh, how we loved this!)
hot dogs
sunburn
high dives

fireworks
jawbreakers
first kiss
strawberry shortcake
flip-flops
 tents on the beach
ice cream trucks
beach walks

beach pals - lake michigan
parades
miniature golf
rootbeer floats
jukeboxes
summer of ’69 (this  one brought tears to my eyes…)
long docks
short shorts
fast boats
  
summer buddies - silver lake
mustangs
dairy queen
transistor radios
bikinis
boardwalks
going steady
campfires
did i mention water skiing??

hit it!!

FREEDOM!
summer…. i have always loved you
and i love you still!!

(it’s quite pathetic how few pics i have of so many years of my life…. 
making up for lost time now, but those days will never be replaced.)

  4. Thanks for this trip down Memory Lane! They were great, carefree years. The water skiing was SO much fun. Can you believe we headed out to get a tan by way of baby oil and sunburn? How things have changed!

  8. I don't remember you out at Green Lake. I was out there every summer from 7th grade and on. Were you visiting Steve Goote or did you have a trailer out there? The skiing/boat picture was that at Green Lake too? Thanks for sharing! Lynda Neigh (VanKooten)

  9. Loved seeing you through the years. Many similar memories. (Batons! I had forgotten about them.) Oh, the carefree days of summer. Though it occurs to me that this summer could feel carefree too - I must remember to slow down and enjoy it.

  11. I love those old pictures! I used to have that kind of bathing suit when I was little, with ruffles at the buut. Mine was white with navy blue dots. At that time I still looked cute...
