Mail Art

By Sloane Solanto (www.sloanesolanto.com)

well, i’m back and just beginning to acclimate myself to real life once again after some incredible time away, much of which i spent in an extended state of amazement at all the wonders we were able to see.

By Carolyn Summers from Idaho

before we left i put a vacation hold on our mail, as i always do when we travel.  alas, something went awry and all 17 days’ worth of mail was stuffed in the mailbox on our return….  the up side of this little booboo was that sandwiched deep between the piles of ads, credit card offers and otherwise annoying pieces of junk were these 5 little wondrous pieces of art!

By Diana Foster (www.thestudio56.com)

they are my personal stash from kat’s liberate your art postcard swap and i wanted to share these beautiful day-brighteners right away before i tackle the mountains of laundry and begin wading through the 1200 or so photos that i captured…… (coming soon….)

Sadly, I didn't get a name with this little gem

it’s always nice to get back to the comforts of home after being on the road and i do hope to catch up with all of you very soon!!

(aren't they just the loveliest mix??)

  4. That's a lot of mail to stuff! I have not been holding my mail unless it's over 10 days, and my mailbox is pretty stuffed when I return. Darn junk mail.

Welcome back! I'm looking forward to seeing your photos. You will convince me to head to the southern OR coast in early September, right?!

I was just thinking I was a complete slacker for not posting the ones I received...but then I got an email today on the blog hop Kat wants us to participate in so I'll probably wait until then. Now I am going to poke around on your blog and see where it is you went. :o)

  14. Hello Patty
Just stopping by on the Liberate Your Art bloghop. Nice to meet you!
Your photographic work has to be some of the best I've seen. Your US tour must have been spectacular. I too have photos of bejewelled spider webs and worlds reflected back from puddles! Ann

  22. Hi Patty, I'm the doofus who forgot to put my name and blog address on my postcard (number 4 above!) I'm glad you liked it though! I'm also a bit rubbish because I am only today finding the time to blog about the postcard swap and am gutted to discover I'm too late to do the blog link. Hey ho, always next time!
