A Few Things....

Valley of Fire

a few things i have been up to lately….

we hosted my nephew eric, who teaches in cambodia, and his sweet wife angela and 2 cute kiddos for a few days on a stop-over between the far east and the mid-west.  one would think i would be the one setting everyone up for a group photo, right?  kicking myself because i have not one photo of all of them together….

The Lovely Molly

i just did a new type of nomadic notebook presentation at a retirement community.  instead of a long show highlighting a specific area of the country, like i normally do, i did some “short subject” presentations.  it’s been a while and i realize that i miss this!

i’m taking an in-design class (the graphic design companion to photo-shop) at my local community college.

i am also caught up in my 21 secrets class on art journaling.  it’s really like 21 classes in one, with 21 different teachers.  so much good stuff.  at this point, what i’m actually producing seems better typified by “quantity” as opposed to “quality”, but hopefully i’ll get there!

organizing a little mail art project for some of the patients that live in the same building as my hospice patient.  this is going to be so fun!!

getting my postcards ready for kat’s “liberate your art” postcard swap.

processing the details from my last 2 retreats and trying to figure out what may be next….

i haven’t been showing photos much, but last year i signed up for a show with my photoarts group at mission trails regional park.  i’ll be showing work from the valley of fire park in nevada

trying to stay on top of my daily creative practices and not always succeeding.

doodling in my studio.

thinking about how to best celebrate my hubby’s birthday next week.  hmmm….

so, yes, life is full!!  i will visit soon to see what YOU have been up to.  thanks so much for stopping by and happy summer weekend to you!!!
