Award and Thank You!!

i have to say, i really had no idea.... when i started blogging a few months back, i didn't have the faintest idea what was in store for me.  it was all a bit frightening at first, but each time i put something out there, some lovely soul or 2 or 3 or more would leave such wonderful, enriching, enlightening, tasty little tidbits for me to read.... it was just so thrilling and has continued to this day!  i haven't really gotten out there and tried to "increase my readership", maybe because i already feel that it's enough.  just to have one or two little voices cheering me on and letting me know on a regular basis that you are there for me, no matter what, is so reinforcing and miles beyond what i ever expected.  i love you all so very much and am truly and utterly blessed and grateful to have you in my life!!!

so now to the business at hand.  my dear friend donna has bestowed this cute "blog comment award" on me and i so appreciate it.  her blog  FLYING SOLO TRAVELING LIGHT about her transition to living in mexico is so interesting and full of fun that it is a pleasure to leave comments!  check it out!

and to pass the award along...

kolleen over at HEARTWING SISTERS: this beautiful soul exudes love in everything she does, from her artwork to her family.  love you, k, and don't know how you do it all!!

chrissy at cul-ti-vate: one of the most positive and inspiring people you could ever hope to meet - another one that "does it all", including going back to school!  love you, chrissy!

jennifer at  Giggling in the Rain:   jennifer is the real deal - a bright and sensitive young woman that expresses herself so beautifully and authentically.  love you, sweet jennifer!

elizabeth at retinal perspectives and the blue lotus : a talented and insightful young woman, well on her way to becoming an amazing healer with reiki.  love you and your darling atlas too!

you all add light to my life and i'm forever grateful!!!

i wanted to include a few wildflowers from the desert.  as i mentioned they were a little disappointing (sparce) compared to other years.  apparently they are delayed because of the cold winter we have had and are still on their way.  mostly i have individual blossoms here, not full fields like the last photo from 2005.

what there was was lovely!
the salton sea was also cool - more on that next time....

  1. I see you are up 'in the middle of the night' posting as well! Your desert in bloom photos are lovely. I am wondering when the desert blooms here. Perhaps more during the rainy season when I am told it rains for about an hour every afternoon and then clears up. It must be a beautiful site. You do have some wonderful little 'jaunts' --- so much fun.

Oh! I just had a brilliant thought. I really want to make it to Joshua Tree in the spring sometime. (Probably not this year though.) If I ever do, I will let you know - wouldn't it be fun to meet up and take photos!

    Gorgeous wildflowers!

You my dear are such an incredible soul. You are filled with light and you take the most amazing photographs I have ever seen. I would just love to tag along on one of your photo adventures snapping along side of you.

I remember watching you in Oregon when you were out taking photographs on the beach. I was captivated by how you sought out the beauty in your surroundings. You are have such an incredible eye and an incredible heart.
